I understand my Mother's family to be from Md and then Ky. Ended in Indiana. Sanders and Cambridge (-Hunt ?). Ky, Braken Co. On my Dad's side Cherokee -Blackfoot eastern. I was told by Dad's Father many times. I did not find out which name it was just the tribe.
His side were Quakers at one time. Some names are Barker, Carey, Jones, Lowe, Holloway and Brown. I can not find McNeal Brown that married Guella (Gila) Holloway except married 1825 Guilford Co.N.C.
I found their graves in Westfield Ind. Many people in the same area with same Cherokee-Blackfoot backgrounds. I guess they moved there early and maybe together. On one site ,someone put Guella's name as Hollowell.??? Can you get back with me and make sure this is posted with my email in case others want to get in touch? RosemaryDodd@webtv.net Thanks
