John and Effie Perkins

Hello everyone,I am still searching for Great Grandparents,John and Effie Perkins.I sincerely believe the John Perkins and Effie Sarah Oxley I discovered in Texas awhile back are my Great Grandparents.I was told recently that John and Effie left West Virginia unexpectedly and were on they're way to Texas.Effie had family in Texas.Effie was with child.She died along the way while giving childbirth.O.K.,this makes alot of since,since the other two girls were left with neighbors to be cared for and raised.I am beginning to believe that John was somewhat of and outlaw or a scoundrel of some kind.I hear nothing very positive of him.And I think he is the mystery here.Something he has done,makes the family closed mouth and noone will discuss him.Any help or clues,still seeking.Thanks in advance,Ann

Hello find a family member that will talk to you, even if it is in the "dark", you may find something of value and you may not, usually you have to go to the Blacksheep to find things out, but do not stop looking. Tom

hello,thanks.That is what I am working on.I have a cousin that was very close to my Grandmother,Ada Lee (Perkins)Senter.I can get only bits and pieces,but it is more than I had before.This is where I found out Effie and John did have family in Texas.

Well, I've spent a lot of time on this and the only thing that makes sense if that we're missing an important piece of the puzzle. Wish I could "crack" this!
