Hi...Bonnie here......I was just wondering if anyone here had any family with the last name Dunn...
My greatgrandfathers name was thomas h. dunn he was married to Norah M. they had three children
Henry L
James c
Emily R.
I know that some people referred to Henry as Lester, and my grandfather they called J.C. and they referred to emily as Ruby.
I was always told that my greatgrandmother was a fullblooded blackfoot indian. I am trying really hard to find out about her and that side of my family. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.
Thank you
Bonnie

Bill and Tom,
All I know about my great grandparents is what i listed above....and most of that was found by bill i believe from where i posted a messaged elsewhere on the sight.....
All I know about my great grand mother was her first name and middle initial...Norah M.......and that she was probably born in 1888 and died in 1916..she was probably 28 yrs old...and I was always told..like i said..that she was full blooded black foot..
I believe they lived in coosa county, alabama....Probably Marble Valley.
I have written to my aunt to see if she knew what her grandmothers maiden name was.....

OH...And Tom, Do you know what the man's first name was that your grandmothers sister was married to? Any information would be great..
Thanks alot
Bonnie :)

Quite true but we never found Norah's maiden name - just shaking the bushes, so to speak. Bill

Tom,
In the information that bill had sent to me...it stated that my grandfather had a brother listed as A.T. ....I dont know what the initials stood for so if you could find out if abner dunn had and siblings and what their names were that would be good too.
Bonnie:)

HI Tom, I know this post is way way old, but just incase someone else reads this, I'd like to make some corrections here about Elsie and Abner :)

Elsie May (Groat)was my grandmother (b. 1900 in Minesota - Died 1966 in Colorado). She married Abner John Dunn Aka. "Red" because he had red hair(b.1895 d. 1975 in Oregon) Abner never married again.

Elsie wasn't widowed, she divorced Abner and married Clyde ('Cap') Williams. (I would have to look up the dates of their marriages etc if anyone needs them. )

Just thought I'd get the record up to date.

Barb. :)

Hi Tom, I saw you also said something about a Grundy.

George Grundy Dunn (not the politician of the earlier generation) was my G. Grandfather.

Our line goes James Dunn & Martha Long
Samuel Dunn & Elinor Brewster
John Dunn & Margaret Karr
John R. K. Dunn & Mary Elizabeth Taylor
George Grundy Dunn & Annie Lenora O'Conner
Abner John Dunn & Elsie May Groat
Carl William Dunn & Bertie Pauline Guinn
Me.. Barbara L. (Dunn) Grainger

Ok. I know these posts that I"m replying to are very very old. But I am just trying to set some records straight here and also get familiar with Saponitown. I started to read things last year, but just never got around to doing it . So I'm trying to get familiar with the site now :)

If anyone needs any dates for the above line, let me know and I'll post them. :)
