Check out this artwork. These are in the genre of "Indian dolls" but this is way beyond anything of the sort you've ever seen.

Thanks for your link. The maker of these Indian dolls is a Tuscarora woman from the Tuscarora Reservation in N.Y., and her grandmother has the same surname as one of my ancestors, Jacobs. Today, I wrote her an e-mail regarding our mutual surname. I wouldn't have known about the possible link except for your post. Thanks.
