About a month ago I started a Collins Research Group and after a month it appeared that our search always seem to end up in the same location of Virginia/North Carolina and the same surnames kept comming up in relation to our Collins. I ask the members what they thought of wideing the search to include the connecting surnames and include Saponi research. Everybody was all for it so I opened a Yahoo.com site.
This site is a free, however restricted research group. By joining the group you are ask to take an active part. Now we know that everybody doesn't live in the area needing research but there are many ways to take part. Let's take ME for an example: I have a number of health problems and work from a wheelchair. I can no longer climb over fences writting down information from old gravestones, travel to libraries & search the archives. For me those days are over but I will still surf the internet for bits and pieces, and interesting sites to bookmark. I have learned how to upload information and pictures to the site and don't mind doing this for others that haven't mastered it yet. This research group will only work if we all pull our share and work together.
