I've hooked up a chat to this board. If you'll look at the row of buttons at the top, you'll see "Join my Chat Room." There's a Java download you may need, I believe it will let you know if you do. It may take a while to initialize, but if the panels remains grey, go to http://java.sun.com/getjava/ for a free, quick download.
The way we can use this is this: at the bottom of the main forum page it shows you who's also logged onto the board. If you see someone you'd like to chat with, click on their name. That will take you to their profile. There's an option "Send a Private Message." Ask them if they want to meet you over at the chat. The PM should pop up at them (unless they have that feature disabled). If it's agreed to chat, click on the "Join My Chat Room" button at the top. You don't need a password or anything to get in. Being Java, it may take awhile to initialize.
Another way to go is this: Leave a post here letting everybody know when you're planning to be at the chat room. Go there and wait to see if anyone can make it.
