Hello, I am searching for information on Pheobe ( Summerfield ) Blankenship. I have heard from other family members that she was the daughter of a Blackfoot/Cherokee Chief, by the name of Summerfield. Pheobe was my GGGG-grandmother. She was married to Joseph Blankenship. They lived in Virginia as early as 1775. That was when & where thier daughter ( my GGG-grandmother) Martha C. Blankenship was born.Any info on this lineage ( Summerfield ) would be appreciated. I have not been able to find this name on any census or roll. Sharmin
