The first “wannabes”! Anthropologist Jack Weatherford writes about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamanend in more detail in his book “Native Roots”. This country is full of wannabes, in order to become the only Americans they have to eradicate the real ones!

I love Jack Weatherford. "Indian Givers" is one of my favorite books, and I still quote it all the time. So much Indian culture, technology, philosophy was absorbed into what's become the modern world -- as much as anyone's. But then came the devastation of disease that preciptuously weakened a population just as it was being encroached upon. The worst timing ever. The incoming culture whitewashed everything it was absorbing to the effect that all of that heritage is hiding in plain sight. Our American accent is pitched halfway between a British accent, and a Native accent. Sixty-five percent of the staple crops the world exists on today, came from Native horticulturists. (What's this about primitive Hunter/Gatherers?) The Humanist movement in Europe that led to the French and American Revolutions and the toppling or weakening of monarchies was a breeze that came blowing in from the cultures of Native Americans, and a Huron diplomat by the name of Kandiaronk. It goes on and on. Everybody, get that book. It will rock your world.

Napoleon Bonaparte: “History is a set of lies agreed upon” (or variants of this) His-story is a set of lies! Our-story is the truth!
