Thanks, Saponi 1 for supplying this. The Mattaponi sound like nice people. Has anyone met any of them? I hope they can keep their land intact.

Emma:
I thought that VA Beach was now getting water from Kerr Lake. Before I moved to Calif in the mid 80's this was the big deal and I thought they won. Why do they need more water?

Linda,
I have been going to the Mattaponi Reservation every since I was a child. They are the most kind, honest, & open people that you would ever meet. Their Church is the only one that I have ever walked into that gave me a sense of Love, God, & a sense of belonging. I love the Custalow family. They make me feel welcome, which means a lot. My phone number is at the Museum's cash register, it was put up by Mr. Custalow. They are truly God's children.
