I got there sometime after 11AM,after overshooting the site by at least a half mile. The flyer said "rescue squad grounds",so I was thinking a rural location, but this pow is in the city of Powhatan.Took me about 1:20-1:30 minutes to get over there.
Behind the fire station, there's a field with permanent restrooms, children's play area, and picnic benches. This was the powwow location.
Grand entry was at the usual time.(12PM)
Seemed to be a rather small powwow;probably between 2-400 people there.This one's relatively new,also (2nd year).
Spoke to a lot of people and learned a lot.I'll be back next year!
Only criticism I have is the flyer should have mentioned that the "grounds"
were in the city limits of Powhatan.Other than that,it was a great powwow
and I can't wait for next year.
Anyone make it out?
