Alright, maybe alzhiemers, (old timers) or just can't see past yesterday.

I recall some conversation with the Whitfield family mentioned and I just can't find it. So, I'll open this up again.

I have a Sarah Whitfield, b. 1731, in NC married to Daniel Herring, b. 1729, in NC. Anyone have info or relation to this family?

I come from the Herring family, Benjamin Herring who had about 1800 acres in the Goshen Swamp area of Duplin Co. NC.

Let's see if that worked. Sarah Whitfield who married Daniel Herring is another daughter of William Whitfield and Elizabeth Goodman!

I have some family info about the Herrings/Parrish line.

Daniel's parents were Abraham Herring and Mary Williams. Abraham was b. 1684 in Lower Isle of Wright VA and d. 1744 in Bertie, NC??????? where is this?

Daniel and Sarah had a son named Benjamin b. 1755 in Duplin Co. NC married to Mary Shotwell b. abt 1759. Benjamin had 1800 acres in the Goshen Swamp area.

Benjamin and Mary had a daughter named Elizabeth "Betsy" b. 1795 in Duplin Co. NC

This Elizabeth "Betsy" married Thomas H. Parrish. Thomas Parrish's mother was Martha Clarkson b. abt 1764 in VA.
