Hi All, Yesterday, my son Brent and I went on our annual canoe outing on Sugar Creek here in Indiana. It was a beautiful day~temp was abt 85~sun and big white fluffy clouds. Alot of people had the same idea as it was quite crowded~more than usual. We went on the 4 mi trip that puts in at a place called "The Narrows" and the last mi was nice and not as crowded to a place by Turkey Run State Park. We feel it does our soul so good as we feel connected to nature and our NA ancestry. The sun just danced off the water and threw light shows upon the rock banks and under the concrete bridges~just a gift from Creator~for sure!! Also, we are planning to go to the 26th Annual Traditional Pow Wow Aug 16~17 at Boone Co 4~H grounds~Lebanon, IN. It's abt 20~25 mi from us. Blessings~Greydove:D ~^~

My hubby picked up information on that powwow when we were at the Shawnee powwow yesterday in Bellefontaine, OH. Sorry, can't go to that one too. But we were in your neck of the woods driving home today. Beautiful day to canoe.

Yes Tech it was all that. Did you come thru Indiana by interstate? I don't live far from I~74. I'll be coming thru your neck of the woods wkend after Labor Day~we go up to Minn to see my husbands son and family. We go to Austin MN for a few days to meet them as they come down from NDak. Take care and I wish you could make the 26th Annual Pow Wow at Boone Co IN~oh well, maybe someday some of us will get to meet somewhere at some Pow Wow, huh?;) Grey

I was not really paying attention. Hubby was driving. He took back roads most of the way, south of Fort Wayne, I think, just to see countryside. I think we followed 30 at one point. I remember we went through Willshire and Pierceton.

Yes, I know what you mean. I don't pay attention to directions and road signs either when I am riding (unless my hubby is a little lost?)ha~ha. Also, I prefer the highways and byways over interstate travel any day unless we're in a big hurry to get somewhere because of time, etc. I don't like traveling with alot of 18 wheeler traffic~oooh!! Later~Grey
