Hi my name is Rod Northern, I am the grandson of Morris Richardson, who was the son of Nick Richardson and Dorcas Lynch. Please refer to Baron Smith's posting for addition information on that side of the family. Morris married my grandmother Bertha Green daughter of John Allen Green and Lillie Hunter Green. John Allen Green's parents were William and Mary Green. The parents of Lillie Hunter Green were Dudley Green and Mary Silver. Looking to share information and learn more about my roots.

At this point I have not traced any of my Greens outside of Halifax, Warren counties area of North Carolina. Do you have any family in this area?

Rod, are you responding to me? If so, my family line is from Pennsylvania and came to Iowa by way of Ohio. My Green connection is from Licking County, Ohio, as the Web site I posted indicates. Their connection meets mine through Elizabeth Green who married Andrew Houston. Elizabeth would have been my ggggg grandmother. Rumor has it that Andrew may have been native american, and photos of my gg grandmother (his g-granddaughter) seem to indicate that there is some native american in this line. Family genealogists write that my g-g grandmother was at least part native american.

Hi Cindy, first I would like to thank you for link to the Green Genealogy. You never know when or if any information may come in handy. As of now I only go back to gggrand father William Green and he was in Halifax-Warren county area of NC. But not knowing where or when William was born anything is possible. His son John Allen Green was born January 1868 so I quess William might have been born somewhere around the 1840s.

i wonder if your greens a related to the saponis who make up greentown in brunswick co. va across the boder from halifax? where do you live now?
