I do understand that we as US Citizens have the right to free speech, but some people just don't know where to draw the line. Some people can't seem to understand the difference between harmless humor and down right insults.

What are your thoughts regarding the link below?

Tried to listen to the video clip in said link.Sound quality is terrible!

I read the other thread in "Indian Country Issues".The radio host(s) should
be fired.

Wow. The show in question was bad enough, but the comments posted in that link seem to be mostly in favor of us "getting over it" so the listeners can have their humor in the morning again.

Freedom of speech seems to have become an overused excuse for bad behavior. One of the commenters said that our country was founded on freedom of speech. Think that says a lot. They think it's their country, same as ever.

Once again, some people have that "Superiority" mentality. Sad :-(

The Lumbee Tribe's web site has some e-mail & snail mail addresses. Also a prewritten letter. It was written for Lumbee tribal members, but think it would be ok to modify and send.

We do have freedom of speech, but the FCC has rules that goveren the public interest. Hate speech is often cause for out breaks of violence and that is why there are rules that govern hate speech and descency over public airwaves. I'm shocked that ABC or NBC, who ever the big company is that owns the station, hasn't pulled the plug on those DJ's permenantly.

And they won't pull the plug as long as they are getting airtime and tv time from the shock jocks' performances....the best thing is to ignore the ignorant and don't give credence to them.
