My name is stacy smith and I have been looking for some time for my ancestry. I remember my grandfather telling or saying that his mother was blackfoot indian. I have found out some stuff but when it comes to that part I am at a dead end. My GG-Grandmother was Bertha Jewell who was born in Page county Va. Her father was James W. Jewell and her Grandfather was Augustus or Augustine JEwell(which is spelled different on some census). I found out the info on AUgustus before I cannot find out about is parents(who they were or where they were from). I know that Augustus was born in Greenbrier COunty Va. about 1816. If any one could help I would appreciate it very much. WHen looking the Jewell name and family lived in a hollow at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Again thanks for your time
