Crystal,

I was so excited to get your email on this line in connection to your ex-mother in law.
There were 5 William Taylors in a line with the first being born in Liverpool,England. The information I have is that the third William came to the Colonies in the mid 1600's. My information is very fuzzy before Daniel 1748 born near Newark, NJ.
s/o William the 5th and Senor Taylor
1754 6 VA Daniel's parents moved to Clearbrook, Fredrick Co.,VA (mid 1750's)
1773 25 VA Marriage Lic. for Daniel and Mary Kackley in Augusta Co.,VA
1774 26 (W)VA Daniel and Mary are living in the Swago/ Millpoint area GreenbrierCo./Pocahontas Co.(W)VA 1st child Mary is born in 1774

Oct. 1774 - Daniel fought in the battle of Point Pleasant under Col. Andrew Lewis 1775 27 (W)VA 1776 28 (W)VA 2nd child William is born in 1776 Daniel helped build Fort Defiance at Little Levels.
1777 29 (W)VA Daniel at Fort Defiance ranging and spying - summers of 1776-1782
Daniel stationed on the frontier didn't know the war was over and didn't go right home after the war. His wife believing him dead...remarried Wm Ewing( records found in Bath Co. court book)
I don't know much about Mary Kackley. Does that name ring any bells?? Also the first name Senor is unusual.

that name doesn't ring any bells but then, she (my mother in law) is the one doing the research on this group. The ones I'm ready to pull my hair out on right now is the Durhams of Culpepper, Orange, Pittsylvania Co and Grayson Counties, va. I'll contact her and tell her to peek on here again.

Thanks a million Brenda,
Love ya
