Eakins, Hull, Mills, Sykes,Herring

Does anyone here have any info on the Eakins, Hull, Mills, Sykes or Herring Surnames? I know Mills is Haliwa-Saponi name, but what about the others? Any ideas?

Chenoa--There are Herrings in my line in Virginia---Albemarle county area. Let me know if this helps as I have some family info.

sykes are a triracial family i believe.
they appear in NE NC around the albermarle sound. myself and one other saponitown gal have claimed them.
where are they from
(your line?) and dates?
most appear today as black, although that is not exclusive.
out of curriosity, ive seen you post about halifax co, nc. are you related to silvers, woodards, thomas, woodsons, ansteads or any of that bunch?
