This may just be a coincidence, but here goes.
My line is Edward aka "Ned" Collins who allegedly md Hannah Holt. They were born ca 1776. I have not found their marriage record, so am relying on other researcher's notes for Hannah's last name.
However, I came across this thread:
http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.virginia.counties.he nry/344.352.357.1/mb.ashx
It includes surnames Campbell, Jarrett, Collins, Clark, and Smith.
Apparently one Edward CAMPBELL is believed to have married Hannah Holt ca 1800 in Patrick County (same vicinity as my Edward & Hannah).
My Hannah is named Collins on her death record, but I do wonder if there is a connection, especially with the Collins family popping up in this fellow's book.
Any thoughts?
