Coon/Coone/Koon Family

I have been searching the Cherokee rolls for my GGGrandparents and found out lately that they were Blackfoot. I didn't know there were Blackfoot in NC/VA I thought the information had to be wrong. Can anyone help me on this? Their Names were Alfred and Sarah Coon/Coone.

I haven't come across the name Coon, where was your familly located?

I have found out that the name was translated from a Native name, but I don't know that name. I also have Tucker in the same line and they are listed a Malatto.
Both Familys are from the Piedmont area of NC and SC.
