An old friend once told me that everything is tyed to everything, you can't remove a part from something and keep it seperate, because all things are connected.
Baskets to food and ceremony, work, paly and death, the same goes for the other parts of culture, craft into food, food into ceremony and ceremony into dance and into "the little brother of war"- "stick ball" America's oldest competitive sport!

Like the links adressed in the Dance thread, language plays a huge role in who we are as people and in our cultural preservation.
Although this group of "code talkers" were not from the eastern Siouan people they were southeastern people and do relate quite well with other issues in Yesah culture., (which I'll post later).
