About a year ago now, I posted a question reguarding the Merritt surname in Ozark and Douglas co MO. Just wanted to let anyone with similar connections know that the Merrits/Marrits from the Samuel Merrit-Elizabeth Wolfensbarger line are chickamaugua cherokee. This Samuel is considered to be full blood. (There are several Samuels...at least one in each generation, sometimes more.) Anyway just recieved this info today from two lines of the same family...both contacted me on the same day.
