Hello bill
This is interesting because it doesn't list him as mulatto which he was since his father was white and his mother was at least 1/2 Cherokee worked for his father.
thanks for the info.
? would they sometimes list natives as black and mulatos as black also ?

Hi Bill
One major problem with this Md Census.
in 1930 my grandmother Daisy Wright was Daisy Wright Grant and she was still in South Caroina for she was married to a man whose family name was Grant before she came to Md. They had two children Sonny Grant and Minnie Grant Born in 1935 in South Carolina also so she should not appear on the 1930's Md. Census at all because she didn't move to Baltimore and marry my grandfather until sometime between 1936 and 1940 because my mother Betty Mae Cheeks was their oldest child together and she was born on Dec 8, 1941

Hi Tia,

I sure want to see your pictures and will tell you what I know about posting them.

They need to be on your computer. If you don’t have a scanner maybe a library might or a copy business may.

If they are scanned and/or on your computer right click the pic and check on the Properties that pops up and check the size of the photo
If it is 100 KB or less you’re in luck as that is what they have to be.
If it is larger then you have to use a photo-editing program to change the size by cropping or resizing it.
I have Microsoft Photo Editor that comes with Microsoft Office Tools that I think you can download from their site if you have Microsoft Office. I keep resizing or cropping and doing that right click properties thing until it’s the right size.
Once you have it the right size on your computer:

Click: Post Reply at bottom of the page just as sending your posts.

Look for: Additional Options in the bottom portion of the page. If it’s not there:

Click: Go Advanced, then:

Click: Manage Attachments a window pops up

Right Click:Properties again on your photo and see what kind of file type it is. Then choose & Click the matching type
in that pop-up window.

Click: Browse in the pop-up window. The files on your computer start showing in descending order.
Keep going until you find it. (I put it on the desktop before starting to find it faster.)

Click: Upload to the far right of the Browse button and it happens.
It probably loads as a thumbnail you can click to enlarge after posted. You can do up to 5 photos by repeating
the Browse, Upload process. You can type identifying info about the photos in the post screen.

Quite a few people are using Free Online Photo programs to resize them I think:

http://www.saponitown.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2711&page=3

If you don’t have a photo editor and they are too large, you can privately email me. I think I have to then privately email you back w/ my private email address then you can privately email me copies of them with a similar browse upload email pic process. I can resize them and send them back for you to post or I can send you resized copies and post them for you.
