I need help! I have been researching my Grandmother's line and there has been stories in my family that my Grandmother was of Native American blood but no proof. I have traced her Collins line back to David Collins b. 1749 in Va. wife Thompsie Posting m. in Rowan Co. NC. The Collins Family moved from Va., NC, Tenn to Indiana. My branch remained in Indiana and the rest of the brothers, Solomon, Aaron and Isiah moved on to Missouri. On the 1850 Morgan Co. Indiana census David's grand-daughter, my 2 great-grandmother, Alice (Ally) Collins Creed and her children are listed as mulatto but not her husband Wesley Creed. This the same David Collins listed on the Saponi website?

Hello from California, I found David Collins 1749-50 on Saponi Nation of Missouri website. I got an answer from an inquiry I posted on Genforum yesterday from Nina Dent who confirmed that David Collins mentioned there was married to Thompsie Posting so we are definely talking about the same person. She is also related to Aaron Collins. My 2nd great-grandfather is Hiram Collins, the youngest son of David and Thompsie. Do you know anything about him. I'm trying to find where he married his wife Rebecca (last name
unknown). I believe in Kentucky also some believe Rebecca last name was Collins maybe a cousin.

http://winwinworld.net/SaponiForum/UBB/smile.gif I am also related but how I am still not sure. I know that the children of Meredith Collins were cousin to those children of David 1748-50. My thoughts are that Meredith was one of the unknown children of one of David's elder brothers . David was the youngest of John Collins children. I have not been able to put together a complete list of children of all the sibblings. IF anybody out there has this list I would appreciate hearing from them.
