Anybody ever hear of Eastern Woodland-Style Hairplates?
Here's a site where you can see them.

....reminds me of a 'Spreader' but this example demonstrates a different usage. An "Older" usage springs to mind but I don't have any documentation for that.

I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them. I am wondering if there is documentation for these. I was just curious. :)

I've seen this before but I can't place it right now. I think it may have been an old wooden version of this somewhere. It is intrigueing and neet.
Hey Barb thanx for this, Iam not too sure if I have seen these before but I have seen large beaded panels that are used as braid wraps.

Yes, I have seen the beaded ones too a lot at powwows. They are just beautiful. :)
I guess I am wondering why he designated these 'Eastern Woodlands" and if anyone else had heard of the use of these in the Eastern Woodlands societies.

I emailed the man to see if he'll answer me about what, in particular, identifies these as Eastern Woodland type hair plates. I will let you know when, if I get an answer from him. :)
