November 4, 2006 Isle of Wight Publique Ffaire
A re-creation of a 1677 Public Market Day between Native Americans and Colonials. Re-enactments, dancing, historic and Native Crafts. Free event sponsored by the Isle of Wight County Museum Foundation with the Nansemond Indian Tribal Association. 10 a.m. - 4 pm, at Isle of Wight Academy, 17111 Courthouse Highway, Isle of Wight, VA. (on HWY 258 - - from Hwy 10 turn onto 258 at Smithfield; from Hwy 460 turn onto 258 at Windsor). For information call the Smithfield & IOW CVB at 757/357-5182 or 1/800/365-9339.
Didn't know if anyone else was interested...but, Ken and I hope to be able to attend this. I think it would be most interesting....and Bill & Susie will be doing a presentation, Jeannie Cranford will be head lady dancer. Looking forward to a weekend get away, any how.
