I was wondering if there is any info on Sarah Ann Collins born 1802 in Pennsylvania.Died 1851 in Frazey,Ohio.Daughter of Holden Collins and Sarah Tillinghast.DOB and place unknown.Sarah Ann Collins married David Gist born 1803 Brooke Co. VA(now WV) on Ohio River.They moved to Belmont Co. Ohio then to Muskingum Co. in 1832.Moved to Frazeyburg in 1845.Their son on my line was Holden Collins Gist born 1829 place unknown.He married a woman by the last name of Cross then a Harriet J. Boyd.Others married into my family around this time ie:Greenberry Butler,Laura (Shafer) Stammates,(unknown male)last name Logan,Mary Collins Logan,Mary Beavers,McDondald,Bell,just to name a few.My family is now spread across Virginia,West Virginia,Ohio,Iowa,Missouri,Kansas,and Texas.I do now have my direct line for my family tree.I will try to make this as short as possible.Starting with Gists from England arriving in Maryland in 1679.

William Gist b 1711 Baltimore Co. d 1794 Baltimore Co. m. Violetta Howard b 1716 place unknown. d 1783 Baltimore Co. Parents unknown.
Joseph Gist b 1738 Baltimore Co. d 1803 Brooke Co. VA(now WV)on Buffalo Creek m Elizabeth Elder b 1742 place unknown. d 1814 Brooke Co. VA.Daughter of John Elder b unknown d unknown,Jemima Dorsey b unknown d unknown.
James Gist b 1776 Baltimore Co. d 1839 near Shannon,Muskingum Co.,Ohio(moved to Muskingum Co in 1832). m Rachel Hammond b 1780 place unknown d 1844 near Shannon OH also.Daughter of George Hammond b 1748 Maryland d 1813 Brooke Co VA and Elizabeth Wells b 1758 Maryland d 1830 East Springfield OH.Was daughter of Thomas Wells.

Then so begins my family in Iowa.If anyone can help me on the Gist,Boyd,Collins,Hammond,Elder,Howard or Murray families it is greatly appreciated. This is from my dads side. My moms side is also from Saponi/Catawba blood from what I know so far.Their names are Floyd,Adams,Evans,DeVault? and Wheeler to name a few.All were in Pennsylvania before moving to Kansas.
If youve been able to read this and keep up I give you a lot of credit.Sorry it was so long.I was told to post this awhile back and finally had time.
