Ok, I have additional information from Mrs. King. You take 64 out from Williamston about 3.5 miles towards the Outer Banks. There are signs out for the gathering.

It will be held at the Williamston Community Center. The grounds open at 11:00 a.m. but, folks are welcome at any time because some of the vendors will be there from Wednesday on. The Grand Entry will be at noon.

John Blackfeather will be emcee. Mike and Jeannie Cranford will be head dancers. Many Nations will be the drum...and she's hoping for some others to participate as well.

There will be food available there as well as an air conditioned building for those that need it if it gets too hot.

Well, we had a good time yesterday....it was good to see you, Jade. The folks down there were very cordial and the weather was just beautiful. A small gathering...but, very down to earth. This was the last year that it will be held by the Kings and held at the community center. They have been offered grounds to use for next year and many more years by an organization that is specializing on the research of the Lost Colony, especially the Native American culture. They have gotten an endowment to sponsor NA culture...which means that the Kings will no longer have to pay out of their pockets and that the culture will go on to future generations....that's always a good thing....well, on to Nansemond next weekend.

It was good to see you too. I found out that my Cross side of the family who married the Hyman (given name not original name) is related to Mrs. King. So I guess they would be Mattamaskeet... info is still just falling into my lap...Creator is soooo..good.
