In my list of surnames, I gave Parker, but the second wife of my Garner ancestor was Susannah Guess. I just found this out and am not sure which one is the ancestor. Also, Hamilton could be Hampton, it is listed differently on different sites, sigh.
So, I am working on; Gray, Frederick, Shelton, Parker, Guess, Green , Davis, Garner, Hamilton or Hampton, Dodd and James.

Back again. If you are looking in the NC area.I had a g-g-grandmother, Christine Davis who was Black/Cherokee. She married Charlie Fodrell who was Cherokee. They had two daughters, that I know of, Mary and Sally.Sally married Russell Steele/Cherokee.This was in the Winston-Salem area of NC. The other Davis is from VA. Her name was Jane, a midwife, also Cherokee.
