I am posting a link to Ed Mcgaa's site, he is an awesome writer. The book listed on the homepage (Crazy Horse and Chief Red Cloud) is excellent and Ed speaks of the great circle migration and the Souix originating from the Piedmont. I am compelled to contact him to find out more information, as he is not far from where I live. I hope some of you will read the book, it holds some good historical information.

I'm glad you found out about Ed Mc Gaa! I talked to him once, he's friends with (John) Poundstone, one of the old posters here. John told me about the stories about the Sioux originating in the Piedmont. I'm glad to find out what book it's in. I'd say go ahead and try to contact him. He's easy to talk to.

Linda,
I really found this book really interesting, he is a very eloquent writer. I will contact him, I am interested to see if he has further information, and if he would be willing to share his information sources; This could strengthen the Saponi/Sioux connection. Thanks Linda.
