Hello, it has been a while since my last response... I am almost ready to share my complete genealogy info but I have just a couple of gaps to fill yet. One being this...
My gggg grandfather, Benjamin Jones b. 1788 married Winifred Shehorn b. 1792 (both of Greenville Co. VA.). I cannot find any info on the name Shehorn and was wondering if anyone had any info. Was that a name also associated with the Saponi?
Thank you,
Rheanna

You might try the spelling Sehorn or Seahorn, that was a silversmith in Bedford Co. TN in the early 19th century I think. I don't know anything about the background of his family.

The 1787 Greensville Co., Va Tax List A, lists:

April 10, John Shehorn
April 11, Wilson Shehorn
April 11, William Shehorn (tax charged to Wilson Shehorn)

This is the same tax list on which Britain Jones appeared, with visit dated March 30.
A number of Day, Bass, Going, Jeffries, Jones, Harris, Turner, etc., households are also on this list, E. Sioux relationships if any, unknown.

Wilson Shehorn was b. abt. 1740 Greensville (then Brunswick) Co., Va; d. abt. 1818 Greensville Co; wife's name unknown. 3 children, at least:
William, b.abt. 1762 (?), d. 1808 Greensville Co; m'd 11 Sept 1786 Judith Evans.
Martha, b.abt. 1765 (?), d. abt. 1820 Greensville; m'd 28 Jul 1791 Lucas Tomlinson.
John, b.abt. 1765 (?), d. abt. 1825 Limestone Co., Ala; m'd 28 Jul 1786 Greensville Co, Crissy Cato.
