Hello folks...I have reached another impasse in my research and am calling out for some assistance/ideas from others. (Thank you in advance!) I recently "connected" with another cousin of mine and she gave me some information that quite frankly, was a suprise and now I am miffed again. This related to my Nichols/Collins/Gibson line that wound up in the Carmel , Highland Co, OH area so here goes:
I have a Henry Harrison Gibson (b: 1856 KY, d: 1926 Highland Co, OH) he md. 3X...and I am "stuck" trying to locate ANY information on one wife in particular: Mary Jane Collins. I located Henry Harrison Collins in 1860 with his parents as such:

LENNY HAMMOND 20 FEMALE KY <Her sister?>(some read it as SENY!)
I then located him in 1870 in a HUGE HH of folks including his current spouse, his brother, his ex wife and numerous children and step-children as such:
*1870 Census in Precinct 1, Magoffin Co, KY, it shows:
KIAH GIPSON 35 M MU Farmer
MARGARET HENSLEY 21 F MU
MALLENA (I read this to be MARLENA) 16 F
SAVANY<? no idea yet who this child is> 14 F
CHRISTINA 14 F
BOBBY 7 M
next door to them are living:
SQUIRE GIPSON 45 M
PERLINA 28 F
HARRISON 14 M <------this is my Henry Harrison

right next door is his daughter and her family:
Meniffee Nickles(Nichols is how I index them all) head B Feb 1877 23 Md 3)yrs) KY
Georgia A. wife B May 1882 18 Md 3 yrs KY(1 ch/1 liv)
Peter son B B Sept 1898 1 S OH
and next door to them is a very hard to read however, I feel strongly it is Henry's brother: Ninnet and his family:
Ninnet Gipson head B Mar 1867 33 Md 8 yrs KY
Betty wife B Apr 1868 32 Md 8 yrs (4 ch/2 liv) KY
Squire son B Mar 1893 7 S OH
Brison son B Apr 1897 3 S KY
In 1910 I located him :
*1910 census in Mifflin Twp, Pike Co, OH *lists Harrison as in his 2nd marraige, with wife Mary , also her 2nd marriage, with son, Kelly (age 2) and grandson Peter (12) living in HH*
Alll that said and found...I am completely miffed by who and where his wife Mary Jane Collins is/was....I know that together they had a son named Allen Gibson (b: 28 feb 1883 in Salyersville, Magoffin Co, KY, d: 1950) he married Oma/Ommi Nichols on 17 Oct 1903 in Highland Co, OH and had 13 children.
I DID locate a Mary Jane Collins who was b: Oct 3, 1836 in Knott Co, KY who did marry a Henry Gibson...they had issue: Larkin & David (who both apparently went by the surname Collins)....this gal seems an unlikely "match" for a few reasons: 1. she was born a bit before the time frame as my Henry Harrison Gibson and 2. By location , she doesn't exactly "fit" either but..... being as her parents were Larkin Collins & Cynthia Williams (also connecting to my big ole family tree...and ultimately being the same "group" that include Vardy Collins etc....they do in fact "fit" familialy....if that makes any sense at all. The bottom line is, I am frazzed out over it all....the numerous marriages and same names just get my mind all cluttered and preclude logical thinking so help a gal out if you have any info on any Mary Jane Collins please...I'd really like to know something about her to share with my cousin who is older now and seeking her family truths.
