LINDA < I just emailed Beeleaf about my long reply re: Daniels. I saved it and went to edit and as I was sending I lost my post. Do you have it anywhere in the system or should I redo it?

I'm trying to re-post my lost one I just did.

I saw the Priscilla Trent marriages. One is another family member with the same name. Her father was Henry Trent III. My ggg-gm is the one m. to Josiah Daniel (Sr. , they later had a son, J. Jr. ) I think there were several Josiah's before Jr was born. Two are on the 11-12-1787 Campbell co., VA marriage record with a Thomas Daniel. I think he is the one listed as marrying Elizabeth Lanier whose mother was Elizabeth Byrd.. John Lanier ( Rowan, NC area ?)I have also seen Eliz. m. to a Robert L. Elizabeth was the daughter of Thomas Byrd son of Thomas Byrd son of Wm Byrd by one of his wives, Hannah Grendon ?HIs 1st wife was an unk Foster-maybe Thomas's mother.
Priscilla and Josiah had mary 'Polly' Daniel who m. Daniel Foster.1818. Mary's brother, Josiah, Jr. m. Hannah Foster (f. ? Hezekiah Foster.) Daniel's first son was Richard.

I have alot of data -dates, etc that were in the last post -but I better send that later.

I also saw the Gingaskin site a couple of months ago while doing major research on Jones. Elizabith Byrd's sister, Tabitha m. Richard Jones.
I descend from Wm Jones who may have married Eliz, Ledbetter and was the father of Martha L. b. 1648 Charles City co., VA who m. Francis Ledbetter.

I found a Marmaduke Daniel who m. Nancy ? Still, Cherokee .
desc to another Cherokee, Mary Emory ? gf Ludovic Grant -immigrant Scottish trader.

INTERESTINGLY< Thomas Daniel was the executor of his mother Ann Jones ( Eng?) m. to John Daniel. She had land in VA in her LW&T to him- near, I think, Nazimond Rd where a Wm Jones lived. I think maybe Elizabeth Marmaduke is the mother of Marmaduke Daniel. But, I have to look up on line and see if the bith dates work out.

Are you referring to a Daniel thread ? I can't think of a title . What suggestions do you have?

I have been trying to keep up with Beeleaf and Kamama .
Jones/Lightfoot -kamama
and Beeleaf- Daniel. I have to go over and study alot of posts to magnolia , etc.

My gggg -grandparents were Edward Parker and Susan Southall Halifax, Va to Rowan, NC 1796. I'm trying to do reseach back on those lines- in particular Southall.I descend from their son David .m. Sarah Jenkins ( Halifax).
They had 12 children who I will post so other people can research thier lines . I have some spouses.
David's Brother, Turner Southall Parker m. Betsy ' Elizabeth' Daniel.
One post to me was about John Daniel -Gingaskin.

Betsy's parents were John Daniel and Nancy Daniel- I don't know if this was her maiden name.
Betsy was b. 02-15-1802. Turner , her husband, was b. VA 06-27-1791.
They married, I think, in Rowan. They had 9 children . One son was John Randolph Parker 03-16-1829. I will do a list on them, also. This list is from records left by JK Rouse , my mother' mother's brother's( Preston Rouse's)
son JK Rouse. He wrote nine historical books on NC.
I don't know for sure but, by naming patterns and research into letter in the Southall archive online- I think Susan 's parents may have been Rev. Daniel Southall and Patience W. Branch ( sister of Gov NC & FL John Branch , Jr. who died at 'Enfield', Halifax, VA ) Edward and Susan named a son , Daniel and a daughter Patience and another daughter, Rebecca P. m. Wm Wommack. There's correspondence to TN/KY -regarding Rebecca who, I think, was a daughter. She mentions a Docter Parker. David, who I descend from, had a son, Uriah C. Parker who married Martha Golding. Their daughter Sarah is my gg-gmother. Uriah's brother, Henry S. Parker had a son, Docter Parker. They left Rowan and went to Madison,TN when David died .

Patience also mentions her brother, John Branch, Jr. who was a Gov. of NC and FL and Sec'y navy ?? under Pres,'s Madison & Tyler.died at Enfield-Halifax, VA.

So, it looks like have another Branch of Branches I have to check out.
The other one is Christopher I, CH II to Samuel's daughter, Ursulla who m. Wm, Trent to Henry T. & Sarah Powell to Priscilla Trent m. Josiah Daniel, Sr. b.1756 VA



* unconnected : I found a Paulina Daniel on Juch's d. 10-09-1819 /m/ Mr. Jones this line is supposed to connect to the Southalls somewhere down the line.

PS found it: Rebecca b. o2-07-1836 m. Absalom Turner Grant.
11-11-1860, 57th Reg. Stonewall Jackson Co. 'A'. Later teacher and 40 yrs. clerk of the Superior Court of Davie, NC.

I will try my laptop now to see if I can get a connection. I hope to be online tomorrow morning.
