View Full Version : Treaty names
The names that Stacey posted in the "Saponi Treaty" thread have been sent to a Souian linguist, I'll post that information when it if anything is returned.
Iam hoping that the names once translated into English may give us a basis to start looking for new leads.
If a name translated from Yesa into English ie "Bearskin" can be traced in documents we'll have some good solid leads to work with.

Hi Tom,
If you, or anybody else, wants a copy of the page with their actual marks, I can scan it and email it to you.

Stacey,
I would like to see the marks. Thanks. You are so helpful. Your Ezekial findings have convinced Deb and I that the Sinkey and Sankey line are truly related. We doubted it before.

Tom - Have you received any info back about names from the linguist? Just wondering, Thanks!
