Cherokee Expedition & Scouts

Does anyone out there have information regarding the "Cherokee Expedition"? Was it a group of Cherokees or was it a group of non Indians? Also, what is a scout?

the cherokee expedition were definitely not cherokee... they were a group of 2000 white riflemen who went to the cherokee towns under col. christian to remove the cherokee from the little tennessee if memory serves me correct here..
a scout is exactly what it is.. someone that scouts out an area.. makes sure its safe...some catawbas were used as scouts against the cherokee at this time but ive never heard of ndns being with this expedition..
