I'm hoping someone can help.. First my husband has been told he is Blackfoot I have traced his family. He is a Keller. He was born and raised in Missouri. Before gong to Missouri his grandfather and g grandfather lived in Bedford County, Tennessee. Before that they were in Burke County, North Carolina and before that Anson County, North Carolina this is as far back as I have gone so far. This is what I know so far...John Keller lived in Anson County and had a son Jacob. Jacob had a son named Joseph who moved to Burke County. all of these Kellers are listed as white then Joseph moved to Bedford County Tennessee. He married a Ann Kelly her father was Reuben Kelly. The Kellys moved to Bedford from Laurens County South Carolina. Joseph Keller and Ann Kelly had a son named Joseph he is listed a mulatto on the 1850 census in Bedford county. I believe the Kellys moved to Laurens County from Spotsylvania up in Virginia but I'm not positive. I think Reuben Kellys father was William Nelson Kelly. Joseph (mulatto) then had a son Issac Keller who married Mary Terry on Jul 28 1868 in Bedford County. Issac Keller and Mary Terry had a son named Robert Keller who married Ida Floyd on Mar 31, 1898 in Bedford County. Robert and Ida had Frank William Keller on May 10, 1903 in Bedford County Tenn. Then moved to Missouri not sure of exact date. Frank married Annie in Missouri ( this is grandpa and grandma Keller). One of my question is, is this a normal migration pattern for the Saponi (Blackfoot)? Also could it be possible the Keller line was of mixed blood before leaving NC? And if anyone can shed some light on the Kelly's of Laurens County South Carolina and/or possibly Spotsylvania Virginia. I know Laurens County is not far from the Catawba homelands?????? What was the makeup of Anson County NC in the 1700's??? Was Anson County a "safe" place???
Any help would be appreciated. Linda

Hi Linda
I can tell you that several people on this forum had family who went to Missouri. I have to confess that I have not closely followed other areas where my people were not from, that is, NC and Tennessee. Mine were in PA, VA, and Ohio. If you don't get someone who knows better responding to this question, try copying it to the history or genealogy forum and it should be seen.
