An interesting thought after reading this - both Deb and I have ancestors who were sons of our Blackfoot grandmothers who were called "Fox."

Where was the reference to the name "Fox?" I tried searching, but my find function wouldn't work.

Funny, my search function did not find it either and I see it right on the page. In the paragraph where it describes the tribes who went north, including Tutelo, Saponi, Conoy, etc., he includes Musquaki or Foxes.

Hey Techteach - both of these links are great! I put both of them in my favorites list under Genealogy. My Sister (Lynella) and I were talking the other night and I mentioned to her how I wished someone could draw up something like a family tree, or an organizational chart of how the different tribes relate to each other. (I guess you'd call it a relationship chart). I know it would sure help me understand them more. Your first link (the one that talks about the "Fox") does help with that issue somewhat.

:) See I told you she's a Godsend. I saved off that Warrior's path map. Maps are really good aids for me in learning this history. So I thank you Ka-jillions Techteach! I had no clue that the Musquake (did I spell that right?) were the same people as the Foxes. :)

I've got some Native American info in books that I'll photo copy and snail mail to you Kerry. I'm sure it would help ya'. I do think a chart of sorts on here somewhere would be helpful. I don't know where we'd put it. That desision would best be left to Linda. So we'll wait for her input. Love & Light, Lynella.
