ABIGAIL PATTERSON She was born August 29, 1801 in VA/Pa, and died September 08, 1875 in Fairfield twp,Washington Co. Ohio.
Abigail married 1818 Pa to JOHN2 PERRY (THOMAS1) was born October 06, 1789 in Columbia County,Ohio, and died May 08, 1837 in Washington Co. Ohio.

All I know of Abigail is that her father is suppose to be a Samuel Patterson. They were married in Pa. and looking back to John Perry's parents some of his sibblings were born in Lycomming Pa.but I have never been able to find a Samuel with a daughter named Abigail.

Any help appreciated.

I only wish I could help you. I've dug into this SPENCER & PERRY /PATTERSON thing many-a-night 'n day without success.
There are just too many Samuel Pattersons in the same tiime frame to pull "Him" out. There must be an easier way to drive oneself crazy than genealogy?!?! Must be.

My dear Bill, If you are going to go crazy you won't be in the nuthouse alone. :) Thanks for trying to locate the line.

I have searched for Samuel Patterson for years and I ambeginning to think he just droped out of the sky.
My grandma Mollie Perry was the great granddaughter of Samuel. I posted her picture on the forum and Linda agrees that she really looks ndn. This would explain why we can't find a record . The surnames connecting to her are ALLMOND/ALLMAN*LYONS*PERRY* PATTERSON* I believe most of these names are found among the the NY tribes. When Abigail married John Perry the certificate says her father was Samuel and that both Samuel and Abigail were born in Virginia. She married John Perry in Pa but we have to remember that in the early days that Virginia border went all the way up to where Pa is today.

I will not give up.

Brenda:
I spent a lot of time in census reports today. Patterson is a name that occurs in all m locations too. I see Spencer a lot too. My places are PA, Licking County, OH, and northeast IA. Today, I also was looking at Seneca County, OH.

Cindy,

NJ: Sussex Co.
Pennsylvania :Northumberland Co.* Lycomming Pa.
Ohio: Columbia Co.* Washington Co. *Vinton Co.

. THOMAS1 PERRY was born 1754 in Sussex Co. NJ, and died 1842 in Washington Co. Ohio. He married CATHERINE FISHER 1782 in Pa, daughter of JOHN FISHER and ELIZABETH. She was born 1757 in White Deer,Northumberland Co. PA., and died 1842 in Wesley Twp,Washington Co. Ohio.

Notes for THOMAS PERRY: Thomas Perry was a RevWar soldier and is buried in WashingtonCo. Ohio. Thomas and Catherine Fisher Perry moved to Ohio in early 1800's first to Columbia Co. ,

From Ohio they moved into West Virginia. Thomas' son John was born in Lycomming, Pa. and died in Washington Co. Ohio. Both John and Abigail are buried in Union cemetary in Wesley Twp, Washington Co. Ohio. Thomas owned much land and in a record of inventory after his death I find that his neighbors and relatives all living in the surrounding area were named HUNTER , CORN & HUFFMAN and that daughters married into these families.

Thomas Perry married Catherine Fisher d/o John and Elizabeth Fisher also of Northumberland co. Pa.

I have found information on all of them with the exception of the Patterson line. This is what makes me believe there may not be any records. Just a thought.
