There hasn't been much activity on any of the forums or email list. Summer is a busy time with the children home and gardens to tend and just having fun so I realize where everybody is. I wanted to wish everybody a happy summer and hope your enjoying it.
Here in Massachusetts it has been hot and humid. We really need rain badly. Every afternoon the sky starts to look a little threatening but it's just a tease and blowes away. Linda, do the little ones know how to do a rain dance yet....we could sure use it?
They have us all in a water band.
Take care and be safe,
Brenda

Brenda,
It's pretty hot and humid here in Baltimore, Maryland too. And, we also need rain (or so the weatherman says. Personally, I'm quite content with the drought. No rain means I don't have to cut the grass).
However, if you insist on having rain, here's a sure fired remedy. All the old people of the Coharie say that if you hang a dead snake from the lowest limb of a tree it will bring rain.

The best way to bring rain is to have us go camping in your locale.
Always works for us. Maybe because we have such a leaky tent.
It's been hot and humid here, too, but it's better today. We were near the NC/VA border yesterday, east of Brunswick, and it rained so bad there was some flooding. We were driving on 58 when a deluge dropped. We could hardly see the road. In Emporia, one of the streets flooded so badly a car was flooded up to the windows.
Hello All , speaking of snakes; the other day I was driving home and there was a dead snake on one side of the road and a dead indian agent next to it in the other lane, I stopped and thought what a curios moment!, the only difference was, that there were skid marks in front of the dead snake!
While I was out camping our "guide" was telling us the difference between black bear and Grizzly bears. When in bear country one should always wear bells to make noise and carry pepper spray for defence, and that black bear droppings can be id,ed by bearies and grass in them and grizzly bear droppings smells like pepper spray and has small bells in it!
happy Summer, Tom

Very funny. Did somebody hang that agent up in a tree?
