This came over another list but I thought it worth sharing. God help us not to allow this to ever happen again.
"January 29, 1943. At the height of World War II, Nazi Germany is nearing
completion of the second krematoriom at the Auschwitz Concentration Camp. SS
Captain Karl Bischoff writes a letter to his senior, Sr. Colonel Hans Kammler
detailing the progress of the krematoriom’s construction.
Translation of letter:
“Except for some minor construction work, Krematorium II was finished by
working with all our available forces day and night, despite inexpressible
difficulties and freezing weather. The ovens were fired in the presence of
the senior engineer Prüfer of the executing firm, Topf and Sons, Erfurt, and
they are working faultlessly. The reinforced concrete ceiling of the morgue
could not yet be eliminated due to the freezing weather. However, this is not
significant, as the gassing cellar can be used for this purpose. “
The gas ovens will eventually be used to dispose of thousands of bodies of
state prisoners; the “unfit” of Germany society regarded as “mongrels” of
impure blood. In the same month a bulletin is issued to local registrars,
physicians, health officers, nurses, school officials and clerk of
“mongrels” posing as Aryans. The bulletin warns:
“Some of these mongrels, finding that they have been able to sneak in their
birth certificates unchallenged …are now making a rush to register as white.
Upon investigation we find that a few local registrars have been permitting
such certificates to pass through their hands unquestioned and without
warning our office of the fraud. Those attempting this fraud should be
warned that they are liable to a penalty of one year in the penitentiary
(Section 5099 of the Code). Several clerks have likewise been actually
granting them licenses to marry whites, or at least to marry amongst
themselves as… white.”
Both letters, one describing work on the krematoriom and the second urging
government officials to be on the watch for non-Aryans, are part of a grand
scheme to protect the “white race” from alleged contamination by lesser
“breeds.” But it may surprise you that the second letter, the bulletin
alert, was not issued in Germany. It was issued in Virginia, USA by Walter A
Plecker, Chief Registrar of Virginia’s Vital Statistics. Those troublesome
people causing him consternation were called Melungeons. This is how he
identified the names he placed on the blacklist.
“Collins, Gibson, (Gipson), Moore, Goins, Ramsey, Delph, Bunch, Freeman,
Mise, Barlow, Bolden (Bolin), Mullins, Hawkins. Chiefly Tennessee
"Melungeons."
The Melungeons are people of mixed European, African and Native American
ancestry who can document their presence in North America back to the early
17th century within a decade of the founding of old Jamestown, Virginia.
Evidence shows a chilling connection between the state of Virginia’s campaign
against the Melungeons and Nazi Germany’s round up of non-Aryans."
